William T. 'Tom' Doggett

January 23, 1941 — September 15, 2018

William T. “Tom” Doggett , age 77, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on September 15, 2018. He was born in Cornersville, TN on January 23, 1941 to Thomas Allen and Mary Madeline Doggett. He graduated from West Chicago Community High School Class of 1959 and then served in the US Army. Tom was united in marriage on May 28, 1966 to Nancy Gardner. He was a longtime faithful member of West Chicago Church of Christ and loved his Church and his passion for God. Tom retired from W.B. Olson Construction after 35 years of service and was a member of American Legion Post 300 in West Chicago. He loved technology-drones, sports-coaching American Legion baseball, his town, his high school, his yellow corvette and especially loved his family and grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy; children, Thomas (Patti) Doggett, William M. (Gina) Doggett and Jennifer (Gerry) Piehl; grandchildren, Dylan, Paige, Dana, Lauren, Aidan, Kyle, Ryan, Micah and Magdalene; brothers, Dale, Lyn and Steve (Julia); sister-in-law Patricia Ronzheimer; niece Christine and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of service a 12 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main),West Chicago.
