William Jameson 'Jamie' Kunz

William Jameson “Jamie” Kunz , age 78, of Winfield, passed away on November 20, 2016, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Jamie was a career public defender, a teacher of trial practice, and a lover of human beings and their stories. A Memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Pursuant to Jamie's expressed wishes, the Illinois Public Defender Association will accept donations in Jamie's memory for the benefit of the Trial Advocacy Program.  This program will be renamed the Jamie Kunz Trial Advocacy Program.  If you wish to contribute, please make checks payable to the Illinois Public Defender Association.  Please mail your check to the following address: Illinois Public Defender Association, PO Box 5240, Springfield, IL  62705-5240
