Thomas Parker

Thomas J. Parker , age 70, of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. He was born on February 13, 1950 in Arab, AL to J. H. Junior and Louise (Hornsby) Parker. Tom was united in marriage on April 3, 1967 to Margaret A. Lewis. He worked at UPS over 30 years as a mechanic. Tom loved serving as Pastor for over 40 years at Highway of Holiness Pentecostal Church in Wheaton. He loved going to the Chicago Cubs games and his family meant the world to him. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret A. Parker; children, Margaret L. Parker, Thomas (Charlene) Parker and Christine (John) Stern; grandchildren, Brian Parker, Kelly Stern, Meagan Parker, Brittany Stern, Shannon Parker, Trinity Stern and Matthew Parker; stepbrother, Larry (Kathy) Bishop and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy (late Nora) Parker and sister, Debra Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. & Main Street), West Chicago. A service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
