Steven Wayne Whitman

Steven Wayne Whitman, 72 of Waldron County Arkansas, passed away with family on July 1, 2026. He was born December 11, 1953 In Elmhurst, Illinois to Richard and Katherine(Sturdy) Whitman. He attended Glenard North high school and excelled and wrestling and football. He began his career in the teamsters union and went on to own his own trucking company. He enjoyed boating and fishing.

Steven was survived by his children, Robert Whitman, Kelley Whitman and Stephani (Jim) Terpstra. Grandchildren, Travis, Lily, Harper, Frankie, Makayla, Kaitlin, Logan And ex-wife Peggy (Stark).

He was one of five children: Susan Riedy, Shawn (Jim) Bernhardson, Samantha (Steve) Cervanka. He was Uncle to several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Richard and Katherine and Sister Sandra (Truran) Whitman.

A celebration of life will be held at the West Chicago VFW Post 6791, 431 N. Neltnor Blvd, West Chicago, IL on September 12, 2026 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
