Stephen Wade Fulmer

Stephen Wade (Steve) Fulmer, 63, of West Chicago, IL passed away on September 14, 2022. He was born in Cedar Rapids, IA on May 6, 1959 to Lynnford and Alice Fulmer. Steve grew up in Warrenville, IL, active in his church and youth group. He excelled in pottery making in high school and afterwards put his artistic talents to work as a house painter. He became the owner of Quality Decorators of Wheaton and earned the reputation on being one of the best painters around. He loved to fish, was an avid fan at his sons’ sporting events, enjoyed traveling, and watched all of the Star Trek and Voyager episodes at least ten times. Mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Fulmer, son Uriel Fulmer, mother, Alice Fulmer, siblings, Joseph (Denise) Fulmer, Ronald (Lety) Fulmer, Laura (the late Dennis) Wilson, Lynnford (Patti) Fulmer, Johnie Fulmer and Charles Fulmer; cousin, Mark (Theresa) Fulmer, numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Fulmer, and father, Lynnford Fulmer, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago with a service at 7:00 p.m. (Livestreaming Available on link below)

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
