Sharon Fawell

Sharon R. Fawell graduated to eternal life with her Lord on Monday morning, August 16, 2021.  She was 87 years old.  She passed peacefully at her home in Houston surrounded by her family, fully content in the knowledge that she had fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.

She was the rock of faith and prayer not only to her family but to all who crossed her path, always ready to defend her faith with gentleness.  Her legacy to those she has left behind is summarized in Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi written 2,000 years ago:  “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me  -  practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Sharon is survived by five of her six children, seven grandchildren, her son-in-law and her two daughters-in-law. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago, IL at 11:30 a.m. They invite you to join them for a memorial service to be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at Scenic Hills Baptist Church, 8305 Mowinkle Drive, Austin, Texas 78736.
