Sally Phillips

Sally Elizabeth Phillips (nee Akerberg), age 74. longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013. She was born in White Oak, PA to Charles and Elizabeth Akerberg. Sally was united in marriage in McKeesport, PA & Winchester, VA to Theodore "Ted" Phillips. She enjoyed being outdoors, a good ice cream cone and being with her family. Sally was a proud grandma who loved her family dearly.

Sally is survived by her husband Theodore "Ted"; children, Ted C. (Patti) Phillips of Aurora, Dan (Denise) Phillips of Aurora, Becky (Ken) Stout of West Chicago and Gary (Crystal) Phillips of Elburn; grandchildren, Theo, Nichole (Robert), Charles, Ben, Anna, Matt (Anne), Beth, Jordan and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Noah, Cooper and Harper; sister, Edith Jean Adams; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Caitlyn Rose Phillips and brother Charles Akerberg.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 3 pm until time of service at 7 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago.
