Ruby Grauer

Ruby J. Grauer , age 94, of Ft. Worth, TX and former longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on July 26, 2020. She was born in Morristown, TN on June 15, 1926 to William and Agnes Musser. Ruby was a wonderful homemaker and was the neighborhood mom to many of her children’s friends. She worked at a leather shop for years and then alongside her late husband, helping him run his carpet and furniture cleaning business. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and was a fantastic seamstress. She loved golfing and bowling and she especially loved her family dearly.

Ruby is survived by her children, George (Annika) Grauer, Sondra (David) Isom, and Albert Grauer; grandchildren, Brittani Martin, Taylor Isom, Johanna Grauer and Markus Grauer. Great-grandson Kaeson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Harry who passed away in 2005.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St., West Chicago (One block north of Washington St. & Main St). A procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Northlake where a graveside service will be held.
