Robert Higgins

Robert Higgins , age 68, passed away on February 18, 2020. He was born on February 22, 1951 in Chicago, IL to James and Evelyn Higgins. Bob worked many years at the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He loved to travel (warm climates and the beach), skiing in Lake Tahoe, Frisbee golf with his grandchildren and golfing. Bob loved music. He loved playing the drums and played in a band called the Roosters with his brother-in-law that he managed in the 1980’s. He loved his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Victoria (Gregg) Higgins-Wolpoff, Robyn (David) Garcia and Kristyn (Bill) Slevin; grandchildren, Mark, Matt and Mason Wolpoff, Kaylin Slevin, Cristian Garcia and Kyle Falaschi; sister, Valerie (Ray) Jacobs; nephew, Greg Chruscielski; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Michael Fogarty; and son, Michael Higgins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Interment Private.
