Pamela Sue Volk (Becker), age 69, passed away October 9, 2026. She was born in Hazel Park, Michigan on May 3, 1957, to Herbert and Sidnie Becker.
Pamela was united in marriage on September 3, 1977 to Martin Volk and sealed together for eternity on September 2, 1980 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She was a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother and grandmother who made sure her family always knew they were deeply and unconditionally loved. She cherished her five children and nine grandchildren and extended that same love to the children she cared for through many years of running an in-home daycare. An artist and singer with a wonderful sense of humor, she loved beauty, theater, and sharing her creative passions with her children.
Her love for Jesus Christ and His gospel began in her teenage years and remained a guiding force throughout her life. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many capacities, including many years working with the children. A devoted student of the scriptures, she loved studying, teaching, and discussing the gospel and had a gift for helping others understand its principles and draw closer to Jesus Christ. She also taught herself sign language to communicate with and interpret for deaf individuals. Through her faith, compassion, creativity, and service, she touched many lives and helped others feel seen, valued, and loved. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Martin Volk; son, Carl (Jillian) Volk; daughters, Deanna (Jarom) Dietz, Sarah Volk and Amy Volk; grandchildren, Isaiah Dietz, Ella Dietz, Samuel Volk, Lilyanna Dietz, Felicia Dietz, Emmaline Volk, Colin Dietz, Margaret Volk and Lucas Volk; sister, Lisa (Rodney) Bennett, brothers, Andy (Valerie) Becker, Peter (Kim) Becker, stepfather-in-law, Glen Rowedder; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Julie Michelle Volk and her brother, Matthew Becker.
