Nancy S. Radunzel, age 68, long time resident of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. She was born on November 28, 1944 to Robert and Nancy Barnes. Nancy was united in marriage to Robert Radunzel on July 2, 1966. She was a long time teacher at the Tick-Tock Nursery School and Turner Elementary School both in West Chicago. She was also a reader for the First Church of Christ Scientist in Wheaton and Geneva. Nancy was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert; sons, Roderick of San Jose, CA and Kurt (Beth) of Las Vegas, NV; grandson Evan; sister, Gale McKinley; brother, Michael Barnes; and family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial gathering and celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 3pm until time of service at 4pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago with a High Tea to follow at the chapel. In honor of Nancy's passion to further children's literacy, donations can be made to the Annie E.
