Myoung Koo (Mike) Lee

Myoung Koo (Mike) Lee, 84, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024. 

He was born on May 7, 1940, in what is now South Korea. He immigrated to the United States to pursue his education and met his wife Jhung Seon (Kim) Lee at college. They married and settled in Mt. Prospect, Illinois where they raised two sons, Canto and Santo.

Mike was a hardworking and successful entrepreneur, who owned and operated several businesses. He also enjoyed dancing, gardening, spending time with his grandsons, and practicing martial arts. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kim, who passed away in 2013, and his son Canto, who died in 2012. He is survived by his son Santo (Darcy) and three grandsons, Brady (19), Gavin (16), and Duncan (10).

Memorial services and burial will be private.
