Marjorie L. Klug

Marjorie L. Klug (nee Vegter), age 105, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Marjorie was born July 30, 1920, in Maywood, IL to Bert and Minnie Vegter. She lived in West Chicago, Batavia, and St. Charles, IL before moving to Mountain Home and then back to Illinois after her late husband, Armin "Dutch" G. Klug passed away.

Her parents, husband, Armin "Dutch" G. Klug, one brother, two sisters and sons (Thomas and Ken) preceded her in death. She is survived by her son James of Colorado Springs, CO and daughter-in-law, (Cindy) of Sugar Grove, IL. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Kelli (Ryan) Phillippi, Kevin (Gera) Klug and their children Malea and Cameron, Aaron Klug, Jamie (Brian) Bisson and their children, Kayla, Sawyer, Landon and Asher and Andrew (Ashley) Klug and their children Tyler and Paige, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, relatives and friends.

Marjorie attended Redeemer Lutheran Church while living in Mountain Home and was a long-time active member of St. Michael's United Church of Christ in West Chicago, IL. She volunteered for 28 years at Hi-Hat House. Marjorie was a devoted homemaker, raising 3 children. She loved gardening, reading and embroidering but she especially loved her family.

A Memorial visitation will be held at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago, IL on Saturday August 23, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. A service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. Inurnment will follow at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
