It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Laurance E. Risch. Laurance age 87, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on August 22, 2024. He was born on April 15, 1937, to Willard and Margaret Risch. Laurance was united in marriage on April 19, 1958, to Michael George. After their marriage, he proudly built his family home in West Chicago. Laurance worked as a printer throughout his life.
He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. Laurance worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always putting their needs above his own. He was a dedicated and hardworking man, who never shied away from a challenge. Whether it was working long hours to put food on the table or fixing something around the house, he was always there to lend a helping hand.
His love for his family was evident in everything he did. His quiet strength and unwavering dedication will be forever remembered and cherished by all who knew him. In his passing, we are left with a void that can never be filled. He was a true example of what it means to work hard and provide for those you love. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Laurance is survived by his wife of 66 years, Michael Risch; children, Pamela (Timothy) McDonnell, Jody Risch (Ken DeVivo), Deanna Risch, Scott (Ginny)Risch and Daughter in-law Petry Risch,18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cindy Young; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Daniel Risch; and 2 brothers, Ronald and Bill Risch and brother in-law Harry Young.
A memorial Service will be held on September 8, 2024, 1:00 pm -4:00 pm at the family home. Please come together with family and friends to share stories, offer support and to pay your respects.
