Juan Alfaro

J uan M. Alfaro , age 87, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015.
He was born on April 5, 1928 to Jesus Sr. and Adelaida Alfaro in McAllen, Texas.
Juan retired after 30 years from Jel-Sert Company in West Chicago.
He was a diehard Cubs fan who enjoyed gardening and loved his family greatly.
Juan is survived by his wife, Micaela of 61 years; children, Juan, Hector (Teresa), Eriberto (Louise), Adelaida, Veronica, Maria (Douglas) Lohman, David (Sue), Rosa (Joe) Meszaros; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 3 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Prayers Friday, May 29, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary’s Church, 164 N. Oakwood, West Chicago. Mass 10 a.m.
Interment Calvary Cemetery in West Chicago.
