John Phillip Kimball

John Phillip Kimball, age 77, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 18, 2022. He was born on May 2, 1945, in Kankakee, IL to Gus and Ardis Kimball. He was a US Air Force veteran. After his enlistment, John was united in marriage on May 6, 1972, to Sue Kerner. He was past president of the Jaycees. John was a hard worker who loved sports and was a lover of all animals. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather and he loved his family dearly.

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sue Kimball; sons, Josh, and Jay Kimball; daughter, Annie (Shayne) Olaiya; grandchildren, Lola, Zane and Nova; brothers, Marty Kimball, Gus (Tatyana) Kimball, Scott (Rachel) Kimball and David (late Gigi) Kimball; sisters, Kathy (Michael) Dreisilker and Karen (Dave) Pallardy; brothers-in-law, Tom (Nancy) Kerner and Jerry (late Beatrice) Kerner; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus, and Ardis Kimball; brother, Steve Kimball; and brother-in-law, Dick (late Dorothy) Kerner.

Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago.
