Jean L. Kim (nee Adamson), age 79, of St. Charles, formerly of West Chicago, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. She was born on July 1, 1933 in West Chicago to Harry and Jeannette Adamson. Jean was united in marriage on March 20, 1959 to Larry Kim. She worked for many years as an operator at Illinois Bell in West Chicago, and later in Geneva. Jean enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family who she loved dearly.
Jean is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Kim of St. Charles; children, Ginny Kim of Sycamore, Patty (Mark) Yep of Geneva and Kyle (Patty) Kim of Mendota; grandchildren, Jacklyn (Mark) Nolan, Rob Yep (Claudia Tapia), Karen Yep, Matt Yep (Hildee Nave), Nick Yep, Nathaniel and Allyson Kim; great-grandchildren, Summer, Cain, Brianna, Diego and Kathy; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wayne and Bud Adamson.
Memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 4 pm until time of service at 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. Pastor Greg Skiba will officiate. Private burial at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
