James Joseph Klock, passed away Sunday surrounded by the people who loved him. He will be missed.
Born 12-22-1942 in Aurora, Illinois to Joseph and Evelyn Klock (nee Kuhn). Husband to Mary Klock (nee Chiplis). Father to Kristina Krug, Michael Chiplis, June (Dave) Medernach, and James P. (Lori) Klock. Grandfather to Gretchen Klock and Lindsey Klock.
Affectionately known as Grumpy, he loved spending time at his lake house in Wisconsin especially when the house was full of friends and family. As many can attest Jim loved to talk. It didn’t matter who you were or how much time you had he would bend your ear for hours. Jim was a car guy at heart with the most affection for Mopars and often talked of his times at Oswego Drag Raceway, where he and his brother built and raced a rail car that ultimately ended up in the cornfield. Jim never missed a chance to go to a flea market or jukebox show and his Coca-Cola, auto memorabilia, and Budweiser collections he amassed are testament. To know the man is to love the man. Jim’s departure is preceded by his sister Dianne Bowie and his brother William Klock.
