James Cote' Sr

James G. Cote' Sr., age 87, retired Broadview, IL Fire Chief, passed away on February 24, 2014.
Beloved husband of Violet nee Aperavich;
Loving father of Debra (Guy) Martino and James Cote' Jr.;
Dearest grandfather of James III and Eric.
Dear brother of Joan (late Jim) Bakas and the late Jacob, Betty and George Jr. (Katherine).
Loving uncle and friend of many. Fire Chief of the Broadview Fire Department for 40 years,
Member of the Board of Fire Commissioners and secretary of the Winfield Fire Protection District. Founder of the Battalion 7 Mutual Aid Association and Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association. Member of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, the International Association of Fire Chiefs and member of the Fire Apparatus Committee of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 0S233 Church St., Winfield. Friends and family may gather at the church beginning at 9:30 AM.
