Jack Dennis Mosier

Jack D. Mosier, age 78, of St. Charles, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026.  He was born December 27, 1947, the son of George and Lois Mosier of West Chicago, Illinois. He was a lifelong area resident.

He graduated from West Chicago High School in 1966 then went directly into the Navy and completed four years of service, receiving honorable discharge. Once returning from service, he installed carpet before beginning his career at the United States Post Office in West Chicago, retiring in 2007.

An avid Harley Davidson and Corvette enthusiast, he spent the majority of the nice weather months out cruising. When he wasn’t out cruising, his other passion was estate sales. He acquired many unique and collectable items and proudly displayed them around his home and garage.

Always quick with a joke, he could bring a smile to anyone’s face. He also loved Christmas, it was his favorite holiday. He would shop all year round to find the perfect gifts for the ones he loved.

Survivors include his son Derek Mosier (Brent Miller); siblings George (Sylvia) Mosier, Paul Mosier, Fred (Wendy) Mosier and Marilynn Mosier; along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago. IL. The family asks that you bring a memory to share, sharing will begin around 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson Humane, Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society or DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Love of animals and remembrance of friends lost in service was part of who he was.
