Helen Moore

Helen P. Moore, age 96, of West Chicago, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2012. She was born on April 20, 1915 in Argo, IL to Gregory and Fedosia Jemsek. Being a member of the Jemsek family, Helen lived and worked for many years at St. Andrews Country Club. She devoted herself to her family and was a good friend to all who knew her.
Helen is survived by her four daughters, Eldra (Ron) Rakow of West Chicago, Nancy (Tom) Kerner of St. Charles, Dixie Moore (Anni Madafferi) of San Diego, CA and Debbie (Gary) Schollmeyer of Elburn; seven grandchildren, Ron (Mary) Rakow, Dan Rakow, Jeffrey (Sara) Kerner, Jennifer (Wayne) Ellis, John (Kim) Kerner, Shannon (Ryan) Russell and Cory (Danyell) Schollmeyer; nine great-grandchildren, William, Ryan, Logan, Catie, Jordyn, Morgan, Aiden, Kyle and Tristan; one sister, Annie (late Robert) Judson and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John and seven siblings.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 3 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago (One block north of Washington St. & Main St). Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Reverend David Balla officiating. Interment Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside.
