Glenda Mae Jeter

Glenda Mae Jeter was born October 20th, 1960 at Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park, IL to Robert and Jettie Jones. Her sibling was Cynthia (Cindy) Hilsabeck who was married to William Hilsabeck. Glenda was married to Michael Jeter on December 19th 1981 and had 2 children, Joshua and Jacob. Glenda was a special Education teacher for NDSEC and graduated 2 classes short of being a nurse. On their second wedding anniversary she was diagnosed with Von Hippel-Lindau Syndrome and also had her first of many brain surgeries. Throughout her life this disease would try to make it her identity but she would not let it as she loved Christ and her family more than anything. She would let that joy and her smile be the first things you would see. She was a fierce warrior and never gave up until she went into the arms of Jesus. Her husband was very privileged to be married to her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont Street (One block north of Washington St. & Main St.) West Chicago. Funeral service on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago. In Lieu of flowers please donate to vhl.org
