For those who loved Francis Ray, losing his presence during Thanksgiving week 2024 brought home our gratefulness for our time together with him. 

Frank, Sr. cherished both his own family and our extended families — his wife Peg; daughter Andrea; sons Frank, Jr. (Kristie) and Chris (Sara); granddaughters Marissa (Grant) and Alexandra; grandson Owen; mother-in-law Anita; sister Deb (Joe); sisters-in-law Liesel, Marian, Jo (Dan W.), Jeanne, Carol, Diane (Don), Nadette (Randy), Cathy (Dean), Marla (Brian E.), and Colleen (Chuck); brothers-in-law Brian (Carol A.), Tim C., Kevin (Nancy), and Kent; his nieces Adrienne (Edward), Barbara (Clay), Beth Anne (Ritchie), Jen (Dana), and their families: his nephew Raymond (Alison) and family; Peg’s many nieces, nephews, and their spouses and families; plus aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and other family members on both sides — as well as his close friends and former colleagues. 

Frank, Sr. also reminisced often about his beloved family members who had preceded him in death — son Tim R.; parents Ed, Sr. and Etta; father-in-law Lawrence; brother Ed, Jr.; sisters-in-law Shirley and Julie; brothers-in-law Larry W., Dan E., Colin, and Bob; niece Pam B.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and their family members on both sides — as well as his children’s mother Gwynne, and many of his close friends and former colleagues. 

This April, we also suffered the loss of Michael, his sister-in-law Liesel’s husband and stepfather to Frank, Sr.’s nieces Adrienne and Barbara. Our family will be holding a committal service of Frank, Sr.’s inurned ashes later this summer. We will follow that with a celebration of his life.
