Francesca Barbaccia (nee Tessicini) , age 85, of West Chicago, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020. She was born on July 19, 1935 in Avezzano, Italy. Francesca married her childhood friend Mauro Barbaccia on July 27, 1958 who he called his “Cechina”. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her.

Francesca is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mauro Barbaccia; children, Nella (Brent) Adams, Rodolfo (Patti) Barbaccia, Domenic (Cathy) Barbaccia, Lucy (late Ken) McDermott and Antonina (Michael) McClary; NONNA to her grandchildren, Tiffany (Kevin), Corey (Vicky), Casey, Julianna, Christina, Kyle, Patrick (Marissa), Nicolas (Dani), Connor, and Francesca; NONNA to her great-grandchildren, Aleah, Mason, Luca, Mica, Colton and Weston; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Antonella in 1961 and 13 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Beatrice Church , 9701 W. Irving Park Rd. Schiller Park, IL 60176 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. (Anyone attending the visitation is required to wear a facemask inside the funeral home as per state guidelines and please be brief with your visit to allow everyone the opportunity to pay their respects to keep in accordance with the CDC-guidelines) .
