Elizabeth M. Klingberg

On September 24th, 2022, Elizabeth M. “Beth” Klingberg (Quick), a loving spouse and mother of three, suddenly passed away at the age of 63. She was born on September 23rd, 1959, in Battle Creek, MI to Robert and Lois Quick. Throughout childhood, she moved from VA to WI, and later on to IL. After moving to Wheaton and while working part-time at UPS, her hard work earned her an associate’s degree from the College of DuPage. She then started working full-time and began what would be a dedicated, multi-faceted career for over 45 years. Her most recent and favorite title being a Customs Brokerage Representative.

At the age of 21, Beth first met Bob at the copy machine in their workplace. Sharing a common love of music (especially the Grateful Dead), the two quickly became inseparable. A few lunches in the breakroom turned into drinks after work, which turned into a lifetime of love. They were united in marriage on March 20, 1985. Beth was known for her kind and loving spirit. Wherever she went, Beth found many friends to laugh and share joy with. You could often find her partying with friends or sharing long talks over the phone - her true gift was connecting with others. She was always open to learning and cared deeply about the environment as well as all living creatures of the Earth. Beth loved nature, bird watching, and making jewelry in her younger days. She found great happiness when traveling, especially to see live music. Beth very impressively attended around 230 concerts, many of which were the Grateful Dead with her dancing partner Bob. She was a loving wife and mother, and she loved her family dearly.

Beth is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bob Klingberg; daughters, Shelby, and Carly Klingberg; son, Andrew Klingberg; brother, Bob (Connie) Quick; mother-in-law, Joanne Klingberg; brothers-in-law, Steve and Ken (Sue) Klingberg; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert, and Lois Quick and father-in-law John Klingberg.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to The Conservation Foundation in Beth’s memory.
