Elaine J. Siefert (nee Heinz), age 75, of West Chicago, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma "GG". Mrs. S., as she was called on the jobsite, worked for many years in the family business of Siefert and Sons, Inc. All of the trades loved and respected her work ethic and knew that if they needed something done she was the go to person to make sure it was done.
Elaine was the loving wife of Ernest G. Siefert Sr. for 57 years and together they had 6 children; Karen (Morris) DeReadt of Winfield, Debra of Florida, Barb (Steve) Magill of Fort Collins, CO, Ernie (Donna) Siefert of Winfield, Gary (Sherri) Siefert of West Chicago, Jerry (Geri) Siefert of West Chicago; 10 grandchildren; Bob DeReadt, Toby (Becca) Siefert, Jamon (Jessica) Siefert, Lisa (Jordan) Mullen, Samantha, Kelly, Andrea, Joshua, and Zak Siefert; two great-grandchildren; Makenna and Mason Mullen; siblings; Sophie (late Jim) Walker, Barb (late Don) Voirol, Gerry (late Don) Ponziani, John (JoBeth) Heinz and Bruce (late Lynn) Heinz .
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Otto (RaeAnne) Heinz and grandson Timothy DeReadt.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 3 to 9 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Faith Community Church, 910 Main St., West Chicago. Pastor Travis Else officiating.
