Edwin O'Brien

Edwin Robert O'Brien, age 80, of West Chicago, formerly of California passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born on December 30, 1932 in San Francisco to Edwin and Anna O'Brien. Ed was a retired mechanic in the National Guard and spent most of life in California. He was a fun, gentle, easy going person and his hobbies included coin & stamp collection, and traveling. Ed is survived by his grandchildren, Amy (Dave) Davis, Dain Drake and Tiffany O'Brien; great-granddaughter, Linnea Davis; son-in-law, Simon Drake and family and friends. He is preceded in death by is parents; wife, Linnea Carol O'Brien; daughter, Allison Drake and son, Richard O'Brien.
Memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 2 until time of service at 4:30 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main) West Chicago.
