Donn Alan Czegus

Donn Alan Czegus, age 73, of Wheaton, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was born in Southfield, MI on December 18, 1948, to Leonard and Helen Czegus. Donn was united in marriage on November 12, 1972, to Kathleen Keller. He was an all-star basketball and football player in high school and was a lifelong dedicated fan of both sports at the University of Michigan, his alma-mater. Donn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Among many other things, his loving care provided in holiday meals, his desire to share his love of good food, his laugh, and his stories of his many travels and experiences of Detroit as a young man will be missed.

Donn is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Kathleen, daughter, Carrie (Benjamin) Pyykkonen; grandchildren, Erin, Larissa, Sean, Lamont, Noah, Maija, Micah; great-granddaughter, Aiva; brothers, Lee (Sharyn) Czegus, David (Mickey) Czegus and Terry (Lillian) Czegus and relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Steven Paul Czegus.
