Daniel Barrientos

Daniel Barrientos , age 75, of West Chicago, passed away December 25, 2021. He was born on January 1, 1946, in Chicago, IL to Elaine Barrientos. Daniel was a proud US Army Vietnam Veteran serving two tours of duty as a paratrooper and a combat medic. He was a person who loved to travel, listening to music and was a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather.

Daniel is survived by his children, Melissa (Richard) Schaffer, Andrea (Jermaine) Jackson and Anna Barrientos; grandchildren, Brandon Risch, Brenna (Evan) Tschida, Rachel Schaffer, Evan Schaffer, Michaela Jackson, and Miles Jackson; great-grandchildren, Isaac Risch, Eden Risch and Amelia Tschida; sisters, Juanita Biernat, Porfiria Salins and JoAnn (Ed) Flynn; brother, Manuel (Jean) Barrientos Jr.; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Barrientos

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home & Cremation Services , 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. & Main Street), West Chicago. A service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation and Interment will be private.
