Alberto Monroy , age 80, of West Chicago, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017. He was born on April 9, 1937 in Michoacán, Mexico to Jesus and Maria Monroy. Alberto was united in marriage on November 29, 1954 to Micaela Espino. Alberto worked at General Mills for 11 years and Ekrich Sausage Company for 5 years. He was a fun guy who enjoyed dancing, bowling, reading and carpentry.
Alberto is survived by his children, Yolanda (Francisco) Aguilar, Irma (late Jose) Rodolfo and Saul Monroy; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Micaela of 61 years; and children, Sylvia, Isabel, Jose, Lucilla and Jesse. Services will be private.
